In 1990, my physician referred me for CranioSacral Therapy due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident that had not responded to other treatments. At the time I was in a Ph.D. program, doing bio-medical research, and had not even heard of CranioSacral Therapy. What I discovered led me to change my career path. When treatment began, I had a damaged disc in my jaw and severely restricted range of motion in my neck. I found CranioSacral Therapy to be relaxing and powerful. I progressed rapidly and completely recovered from these injuries. I decided to study this wonderful healing modality because I wanted to help others as I had been helped.
I have been working as a CranioSacral and Massage Therapist full-time since 1994. I was trained at the Upledger Institute and the Blue Sky Massage School. In my practice I have extensive experience working with those who are under stress, in acute/chronic pain, healing from abuse/trauma, and/or dealing with life threatening illness.
Additionally, I have taught at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison Area Technical College, and several professional massage schools. A partial listing of courses includes CranioSacral Therapy, anatomy and physiology, body mechanics, yoga, somatics, sports massage, lymphatic massage, neuromuscular and specialized massage techniques. |
